Kihon T-Shirt
Kihon T-Shirt
A T-shirt for training — and everything after.
Kihon (基本) means fundamentals. In karate, these are the base techniques that come before everything else — movements repeated until they stop being movements and become reflex. This shirt follows the same logic: nothing excessive, nothing unnecessary. 190gsm cotton, light enough to wear under the gi, solid enough to keep on after.
The Okinawan flag on the sleeve isn't decoration — it's a direct reference to the origin. Okinawa is the birthplace of karate. Without Okinawa, no kihon.
For anyone who connects with the culture. No gatekeeping.

FAQ's
What does Kihon mean?
Kihon (基本) means "basics" or "fundamentals" in Japanese martial arts. It refers to the foundational techniques and principles that all training is built upon. This shirt embodies that philosophy—simple, functional, essential.
What is the Okinawan flag detail?
The Okinawan flag appears on the sleeve as a tribute to Okinawa, the birthplace of karate. It's a subtle detail that honors the roots of the art without being ostentatious—perfect for practitioners who understand the history.
Will the Shisa logo show under my gi?
The pocket print is designed to disappear when your gi is closed, respecting dojo etiquette. The Okinawan flag on the sleeve remains visible but subtle.
Can I wear this for training other martial arts?
Absolutely. While designed with karate in mind (hence the Okinawan reference), the Kihon shirt works as a base layer for any martial art—BJJ, judo, MMA, or general training. No gatekeeping!
What is SHISA?
The brand takes its name from Okinawan mythology. Okinawa, Japan -
the birthplace of Karate - is home to traditional guardian figures
called shisa, protective beings that ward off evil spirits and bring
good fortune.
